A daytime focus formula that stacks five studied ingredients in one tablet: tyrosine, green tea, BacoMind Bacopa, ginkgo and withania.

Each tablet carries 500 mg tyrosine, 125 mg green-tea extract, 75 mg BacoMind Bacopa, 30 mg ginkgo and 30 mg withania. There is a small amount of caffeine, 3.75 mg per tablet from the green tea, so it is not caffeine-free, though the dose is light. Because it blends five actives, findings from trials of Bacopa on its own do not carry over to the whole formula.

Taken with food, one or two tablets twice daily depending on how you use it, which is 30 or 15 days from a 60-tablet bottle. If your routine already includes a standalone Bacopa, tyrosine or ginkgo, check the overlap. Our Focus and Cognition guide sets out the Bacopa evidence.

Who it's for

For people who want a single daytime focus tablet rather than assembling tyrosine, Bacopa and the rest separately, and who are fine with a light touch of caffeine.

Check the overlap if you already take a standalone Bacopa, tyrosine or ginkgo, and look elsewhere if you want a fully caffeine-free formula.

Mechanism

Human Bacopa trials generally evaluate standardised extracts over several weeks, with mixed results across memory, attention and other cognitive measures. MetaFocus also contains tyrosine, green tea, ginkgo and withania, so evidence for Bacopa alone does not establish an effect for the complete formula.

Questions

How long does a bottle of MetaFocus last?

Sixty tablets provide 30 days at the lower label direction, two daily, or 15 days at the higher direction, four daily. Both specify taking the tablets with food.

Is MetaFocus caffeine-free?

No. The green-tea extract contributes 3.75 mg caffeine per tablet, equal to 7.5 mg or 15 mg across the two adult label directions.

Does research on Bacopa establish the effect of MetaFocus?

No. Bacopa trials test particular extracts, doses and outcomes. MetaFocus also contains tyrosine, green tea, ginkgo and withania, so evidence for Bacopa alone cannot establish a result for the complete blend.

Which ingredients can overlap with other formulas?

Withania is another name used for ashwagandha, and the formula also includes green-tea extract and several other actives. Check those ingredients against stress blends, caffeinated products and other multi-ingredient formulas.
