A high-dose vitamin C in a liposomal liquid, for people who want a bigger daily dose than a tablet without the stomach upset that can bring. 1,000 mg per teaspoon.

The same serving contains 125 mg of sodium and 250 mg of highly purified phospholipids. The 120 mL bottle contains 24 labelled servings. Other ingredients on the current manufacturer page are water, glycerin, ethanol and natural citrus oils. It marks the product vegan and tested allergen-free, gluten-free and soy-protein-free.

Quicksilver directs taking one teaspoon on an empty stomach, at least 10 minutes before meals, and holding it in the mouth for 30 to 90 seconds before swallowing. Its page says to repeat to the desired dosage or follow a healthcare professional's direction, so the bottle duration depends on use. Refrigerate after opening and use within 60 days. Count the 1,000 mg vitamin C and 125 mg sodium when checking a wider routine. The Recovery and Immune guide explains the comparison.

Who it's for

For people who want a higher daily vitamin C than a standard tablet, in a liquid that is gentle to take and easy to hold in the mouth.

Keep the 125 mg of sodium per serving in mind if you watch your sodium, and count the vitamin C against anything else in your routine.

Mechanism

Vitamin C is supplied as sodium ascorbate in a phospholipid formulation. Oral vitamin C absorption is dose-dependent and becomes less efficient as intake rises. A small single-dose study using a different 4 g liposomal preparation found higher plasma exposure than unencapsulated vitamin C, but no stronger effect on the physiological marker tested. That result doesn't prove better absorption or a health outcome for this finished liquid.
